The Shining Hope of Human Future: Solar Energy
January 8, 2019

It is true that the world is orienting more and more towards renewable energies, yet a longer path is ahead. According to studies, global warming is the most dangerous disaster humanity would face in the next centuries. Even though by 2040 the world will acquire up to 60% of its energy from green power sources (mostly solar and wind energy), we still have miles to go. Solar energy companies have developed latest technologies to join the consumer expectations. Governments also provided regular frames to facilitate the renewable energy approach. Approving renewable solar energy as a main source of electricity demand is a crucial decision for the future globe.

Now, many would ask why we should endorse solar power. The answer is on the following sections. It stands to reason that it is renewable. As long as the sun shines, solar power is available. A substantial information about solar energy says that the sun reaching the earth in two minutesis enough power for the human consumption in one year. Thus, solar power is the only solution for human species. Solar is sustainable. The sustainability of the solar energy does not end on the fact that sun would never fade. Solar power is ‎inexhaustible it is a fact. However, it is important to notice that solar panels are almost ‎inexhaustible. The long life span and the strong durability of the panels that reach more than 25 years are noticeable.

It is, also, multi-functional. Solar power generates heat through thermal panels and electricity through photovoltaic panels. Consequently, sun provides us with what we need in a comprehensive way.

Then a tremendously important reason is that it is green. The endangered future of the earth due to toxic emissions (derived from fossil fuels gases) needs an urgent response. The only solution is to adopt solar energy (or other form of renewables). Reducing the effect of greenhouse emissions is a great responsibility.

Moreover, solar energy is reachable. Whether photovoltaic of thermal, the panels’ installation is simple and convenient, it is an off grid power. Therefore, it can reach remote places such as far mountains and villages. Many technologies have also appeared that reinsures a better energy management.

Solar power equipment arenot harmful. No registered gas emission from solar installations has proven. The panels and their cells are working in a very eco-friendly system.

In addition to this, one should know that solar energy is cheap. No need to say that these durable panels are an investment not only for energy saving but also for money saving. The implementation of solar power is continuously beneficial. The exhausting electricity bills are going to decrease greatly or even eliminated. It is easily configured too. The maintenance of these materials related to sun power is extremely easy and not costly. Cleaning solar panels is a simple and cheap task.

Correspondingly, this green power is extremely safe. As sun power does not need high or medium voltage, it is safer. The range of voltage solar energy requires does not exceed 24 Volts DC. This fact is extremely significant in terms of safety measures, energy consumption and costs.

Eventually, most governments, which are orienting to green ecology, are making sun power tax-free: For most countries now in the world, governments are encouraging greatly its people to go green. Therefore, they facilitate the procedures of solar energy installation.

More than 180 country has signed the Paris agreement to save the planet and opt for green energies because going green is not an option.  It must be nations ‘choice to undergo the impressive transformation phase from fossil fuels to renewables. That choice of investing on solar radiation seem to be the wisest for our future.

  1. The latest smart technologies on solar energy:

Although numerous technologies have been realized in the field of renewable energy, solar in particular, scientists still fight for more. As an example, engineers of photovoltaic solar energy ( Find in e-electricity a list of solar companies ) developed an exemplar of smart window. The innovative idea consists of creating such an exemplar with low heat emission glass that produces electricity! The technique is simple but creative. It is simply when the window’s glass transmits human light and absorbs only UV and infrared light. The absorption of UV and infrared light will later produce electrical energy.

Another technique is the creation of solar cells, which are made of thin silicon films. These silicon films are called amorphous silicon. These kind of panels are extremely efficient and flexible.

Besides, nowadays, nature lover can find solar ovens, refrigerators, cell phone chargers and even solar tents that are available to purchase.

Technologies as such are the fruits of perpetual scientific discoveries plus a strong will of change. The evolution of products started in the 1960s and never stopped. Revolutionary technologies enabled the wholesome industry of energy to grow in a very rapid pace and to have a huge market value.

To follow on the same context, engineers from the University of Toronto discovered light-sensitive nanoparticles. This particular material will provide vast chances of more flexible and less expensive panels.

Esthetically speaking, many complain that solar panels are not fitting to their roofs. They hate to see them on the roof of the house. For that reason, many companies of solar energy are trying to satisfy their customers by providing other alternatives. They are now installing solar panels on road sideways. The solar power companies arrange and organize the cells on both sides of the road. They are even considering also the production of floating panels.

Countries like France, Japan, and England consider implementing their solar grids on their seas. A great solution to conserve lands.

Finally, engineers from countries like India and China (which are huge energy consumers) are conveying innovative energy studies. Namely, they maintain projects on which solar energy would be captured through satellites in the space. In that way, the satellites will capture almost ninety per cent of sun energy and reflect it to earth.

Eventually, most important aspect of solar technologies is the advanced storage systems. Not to exaggerate the batteries, which store electrical energy, are still ineffective in comparison with large demand. However, multiple studies are exploring more spectrums. The problem is that electricity once produced whether via solar energy or other sources, is lost if not used immediately. Thus, scientists are excessively working on that point. Imagine a world where sunlight is fully stored! Scientists are even considering the hypothesis of sun fuel. One day, cars, buses and planes could be running with sun fuel! One hundred per cent clean and green. Only then, humanity can put an end to the global warming catastrophe.
