Even big oil companies, such as BP, and investment companies like JPMorgan and Credit Suisse are recognizing the market potential for going green and are devoting more and more time to projects like renewable energy.

If you'd like to learn more about what companies are doing in the renewable energy sector, I suggest you check out the Renewable Energy Finance Forum (REFF), held this June in New York City. REFF provides an opportunity for financiers and renewable energy project deveopers to network and share ideas on the future of the industry. Over 40 high profile industry leaders will speak at the event, discussing topics such as solar power, wind energy, biofuels, market drivers, and more.

For more information, visit www.REFFWallStreet.com.Samantha Jacobyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15276353513132721515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1699038716958250363.post-5359221987358850982008-04-23T12:54:00.000-07:002008-04-23T12:54:00.000-07:002008-04-23T12:54:00.000-07:00Yup. I guess if the environtment is the beneficiary that it is still a good thing.Biologicalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12114152354292617437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1699038716958250363.post-72204074765278585532008-04-22T12:32:00.000-07:002008-04-22T12:32:00.000-07:002008-04-22T12:32:00.000-07:00I agree that as a society we are becoming more env...I agree that as a society we are becoming more environmentally conscious and friendly. Corporations are taking responsibility now more than ever because the pressure is on. The public holds large businesses accountable because they have the funding, manpower and ability to enact change. Although some businesses have followed the trend of “going green” others are hesitant to make changes due to fear of decreased profits.

I heard of a company called Sustainable Land Development International that teams up with large corporations to teach them best practices such as reducing energy consumption, reducing waste, and conservation of natural resources. This particular company is on the right track in my opinion. I strongly feel that those in leadership positions within large corporations should promote sustainable business practices, which would in turn effect the lifestyles of employees while at work, as well as outside of the office.globalgreenqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01643427133870691627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1699038716958250363.post-65027438522549326742008-04-21T14:27:00.000-07:002008-04-21T14:27:00.000-07:002008-04-21T14:27:00.000-07:00I think that corporations, you had mentioned, have...I think that corporations, you had mentioned, have no other perspective, than to adapt to new 'green conditions', if they want to be successful and trendy.
But, there is a real problem with energy lobby (Power lobby), led by the President and his team of 'old boys', who have profited enormously by record oil prices. Their financial power is truly immense, yet the financial power of the country they govern is so very weak these days, caused by Iraq war and record oil prices, the same 'heroic team' has so very successfully achieved.Curt S.http://solarshingles.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
