I believe that we do need to find new ways to produce energy, but as far as jumping on the bandwagon and doing it that way. That is how our country is these days. Everyone just does what everyone else does. When its productive its hard to not. But finding new ways is also a way of American life, and we need to find new ways that benefit us and the environment, not just us.

Nice...but not exactly accurate. You quote "Yes, but slash and renewable wood products can be reused by businesses (i.e., Rexius Sustainable Solutions or Lane Forest Products)". I did a specific study on woody biomass in Lane County and talked with representatives from both Rexius and Lane Forest Products. While they would like the products, it's not feasible for them and they wouldn't go out and get them. If you did talk to reps from these companies, what exactly did they say? Or were you just hoping they would find it feasible to drive on up to the forest and collect all the slash?

It's good to see someone debunking some of the myths about biomass. While we should strive to find new ways of producing energy, too many people jump on the latest bandwagon. My site has a similar theme, nice to find you!
