Video> How the Dutch got their cycle paths

How did the Dutch come to have one of the most admired and safest cycle path systems in the world? This excellent short video gives us a brief look into how the Dutch came to have such an impressive system of cycle paths, and how the infrastructure has evolved over time. When faced with serious obstacles ranging from an oil crisis, increases in traffic and pollution, to an ever rising death rate among children -the Dutch responded quickly.
