Climate of Doubt

Although 98% of scientists believe that human activity is contributing to global climate change, climate-skeptic groups and individuals are putting forward a concerted effort to convince the public otherwise.

“Climate of Doubt” is a PBS FRONTLINE special recently released which examines the efforts by some to distort the reality of the detrimental effects human activity is having on our global climate. From individuals and groups receiving major contributions from corporations such as EXXON and other fossil fuel interest -see how they are painting a confusing picture of the scientific findings.

Climate change or not, I do not think anyone can refute the fact that the positive reaction from now-more-environmentally-conscious people and corporations is beneficial, and it only came from the hard-selling of the consequences and “inevitability” of climate change! So essentially, whether the right-wing politicians like Albert Gore have presented “an inconvenient non-truth” or not, the interest stirred among the generally apathetic public is undeniably good news to the environment! There is no harm done in making the world a more environmentally-conscious one, is there?
