The Obama Energy Agenda : Gas Prices [InfoGraphic]

White House Gas Prices Infographic
With so many great infographics out there, we decided to make posting infographics a regular thing on the weekends. They are sort of fun to read all the little known facts. This weekend, I stumbled across this infographic from the White House on gas prices and the Obama Energy Agenda. Share and Enjoy.

Some people don’t agree with the Obama Administration opening more waters for drilling and exploration while some think that more needs to be opened up. Regardless of your viewpoint, if trends continue, better fuel efficiency and a transition to electricity based vehicles could lower the number of foreign oil imports to better secure US energy in the future.

Another major stance that I take from this infographic that has been mentioned before has to do with the $4 Billion Dollars in oil and gas subsidies. I personally believe we should end those subsidies, save half of it for deficit reduction, and use the other half to help spur renewable energy and other research in alternative energy technologies.

Great info graphic. I am glad this was posted because it seems like the mass majority of the population have no clue as to why the prices rise and fall. It’s popular to blame the current administration while overlooking the facts, but thankfully not everyone is so naive.

I also like the fact that the information presented here can be verified by a simple Google.com search.

Thanks for posting and I couldn’t agree more with your view of the $4+ BILLION in subsidies. The richest corporations on earth DO NOT need a handout from the struggling American tax payers. Especially when the oil corps are making record profits while raising prices ever higher.
