Ontario Toxic Chemicals to be Labeled
Canadians watchdog groups are fighting back by demanding that certain companies label the ingredients in their products that are known to be carcinogens. The entire makeup industry will soon label that some of the ingredients in their products can cause cancer. Certain plastics, and even products like nail polish remover contain nasty carcinogens. Even some ingredients that are in food can cause cancer such as the pesticides used to spray agricultural products. Watch the film Below:

All in all, toxic chemicals are used in many products that we use. This is generally why I advocate for green products or organic products because it has a lesser negative impact on the environment as well as a lesser negative impact on health. I choose to be a vegetarian and eat only local organic food due to all the unknown outcomes with consuming synthetic compounds, genetically engineered agriculture and ingredients, antibiotics, cloned meat, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides.

In the "Oregon Ecology" blog I said that sometimes we go to far in wanting protection. I think this is a perfect example of that. What's next? Labeling everything with sharp edges and corners?
But beyond that, what good will it do? In the Paris Hilton world we live in do they honestly believe anyone even reads labels anymore? A few people might, but that isn't the norm for most.
