Eye of the Dolphin

So there is this new film coming out that I think pertains to the nature of this blog. It seems like great film for all those animal lovers, especially the dolphin lovers out there. It also seems appropriate to post this as an inspirational film attributed to dolphins given the recent dolphin headline that I have posted about before. The river dolphin in China is thought to be extinct now, as well as the dolphins that have been murdered off the coast of Brazil.



That being said, the film is about a young girl who forms a friendship with a wild dolphin in the Bahamas. However, her father, who is a dolphin researcher, forbids his daughter to have any contact with the wild dolphin due to his beliefs that wild animals should be left alone in the wild. Carly Schroeder, who starred in this summer's soccer hit "Gracie" is also in the film Eye of the Dolphin, and it opens August 24th...which is today.
