New FDA safety rules for Dietary Products

The FDA has now commenced its attack against the dietary supplement industry. Although right now the new rules are not so harsh and seem reasonable given the scare from Chinese ingredients in various US products. The FDA now seeks to have every ingredient tested to make sure that the ingredients are exactly what appear to be on the label...not unreasonable at all. However, it is evident to myself that this is just a baby step towards the FDA having complete control over vitamins and supplements to minimize the positive effects that vitamins and minerals have on people and maximize the $$Profits$$ that Big Pharmaceutical Industry makes on keeping people alive and on medication until old age, thereby sucking every last dollar out of the people. If the United States lived a truly healthy life style...the pharmaceutical industry would bankrupt. The only true obstacle in Big Pharma's way is the Vitamin and Supplement Industry which is aimed at preventing illnesses and keeping people healthy. The FDA as I have stated in a previous post has written guidelines for how they would like to regulate every vitamin and herbal supplement as a drug...thereby subjecting it to scientific studies that cost millions of dollars for FDA approval. This, if enacted to law, would cripple the health industry and boost profits to modern medicine, Big Pharma, and bio-tech industries.

Previous Post: Codex Alimentarius(a WHO standard for vitamins and supplements)
Previous Post: Health Industry Under Attack(guidelines written up for vitamin regulation)
Previous Link: 17 page CAM document(Comprehensive and Alternative Medicine Regulation...this includes acupuncture)

The bottom line here is...we are witnessing our very rights to obtain vitamins and supplements without a prescription being taken away from us little by little. Before we know it organic produce will only be able to be purchased through a doctor who prescribes it. Craziness!

Maybe I'll just start growing my own herbs. :) Hopefully, the plants don't get banned.
